Supplying a Local AS Number
Each autonomous system has a NIC-assigned decimal number ID. You must
supply the AS ID for the local autonomous system (the AS to which this router
belongs).
To supply or change the local AS number, complete the following steps:
Configuring a Neighbor
You define a neighbor-to-neighbor relationship by setting EGP neighbor
parameters as described under the following topics:
Site Manager Procedure

1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
EGP
. The EGP menu opens.
4. Choose
Global
. The Edit EGP Global Parameters window
opens.
5. Set the
Local Autonomous System ID
parameter.

OK
. You return to the Configuration Manager
