resource error timer

resource card The Avaya MPS hardware that implements shared resources. Shared

resources either require their own card (for example, FPLC, for fax

functions) or a module on the card.

resource error timer A resource response timer. The resource error timer specifies the

interval allotted for a resource to respond to an inquiry from an

application.

If the resource does not respond within the resource error interval,

VENGINE generates ertimeout. The resource error interval must

be longer than the resource intermediate interval.

The resource error interval is determined by the rscertime

environment variable. This timer is disabled by default.
