fast timers PLM timing parameters that have a resolution of ten milliseconds
with a tolerance of plus or minus ten milliseconds.
You can specify fast timer values with a scale of milliseconds, tenths
of a second or whole seconds. The scale does not affect its accuracy.
If you specify a value for a fast timer without the units, it will default
to milliseconds. If you specify milliseconds, but the value is not a
multiple of ten, the system automatically rounds the value to the
nearest ten millisecond boundary.
For additional information, see the plm intro man page.
Contrast with scaled timers.

fax The Avaya MPS shared resource used to perform a variety of
functions, from simple stored fax output to dynamic composition on
demand.
In many cases, Avaya supplied application programs can be utilized
to meet system application needs. In other systems, these pre-defined
applications can be modified to meet unique application needs. In
systems where pre-defined applications are not suitable, the
PeriProducer fax functions can be programmed as required.
To use the fax feature, the Avaya MPS must be equipped with at least
one FPLC. Each FPLC-1000 module provides up to eight fax modem
channels. Each channel is capable of being individually configured
and independently operated.
For additional information, see the Avaya MPS System Reference
Manual and the Avaya MPS Application Programming Reference
Manual.

FCP Front Control Panel. One FCP is present for each VRC in the
system. The FCP provides separate power controls and status
indicators for each TMS.
