menu Refers to one or more parts of an application where the following
occurs:
• speech prompts inform callers of their options
• callers select options
• the application processes the input
Avaya MPS menus should present a maximum of four or five
selections at a time. Use the PeriProducer Select block to implement
menus.

message-based
interaction
Avaya MPS application - host I/O performed using either standard or
application-specific message protocols.
Message-based interaction does not involve the exchange of
formatted screens with the host and therefore involves less data
exchange.
This form of I/O usually requires new message interface software on
the host.
Contrast with screen mode.

MIB Management Information Base. A directory listing the names of all
system components residing in a network which describe and provide
information about the Avaya MPS system in relation to SNMP.
