enquiry/response timer See host enquiry/response timer.

environment The set of phone line parameters that configure an application for

caller needs and the type of local phone system. Environment

parameters include timers and call progress detection specifications.

Environment parameters are usually determined by the system

configuration files. Use a PeriProducer Environment block to

customize environment options for a particular application.

Environment options are specific only to the current application

phone line and remain in effect for that phone line until explicitly

changed. That is, an application inherits the environment parameters

set on the phone line.
