Speaker Verification A voice authentication process that provides the ability to validate a
caller's identity. The identity of the speaker is verified by comparing
characteristics of the voice to the existing voiceprint for the person.
OSCAR resource processing provides speaker verification
capabilities in support of secure speech-based transaction processing.

Speech Recognition Process of recognizing one or more words (or phrases) spoken by a
caller. It lets you speak a request and get information in return.

Speech Synthesis A process by which text is converted into spoken voice output.
Speech Synthesis is also known as Text-to-Speech (TTS). It lets you
hear information that exist in text format. OSCAR resource
processing provides speech synthesis capabilities in support of
speech-based transaction processing.

SPIN System Performance and Integrity monitor. The PeriView
diagnostic tool that monitors inter-process and inter-hardware
communications.
SPIN is intended for use primarily by Certified Avaya Personnel.
