main application An Avaya MPS program that performs specific call processing or
administrative functions. A main application may link to other
applications for interim processing functions. The main application
passes control to the linked application. After the linked application
completes its functions, it returns control to the main application.

MDM Multiple DSP Module. A resource must be available on the system
for an application to use it. If the resident DSPs are fully allocated to
resources or protocols, capacity for more resources can be added by
installing MDM in an open TMS slot and loading the image
definitions for the resources required. The MDM contains 12 DSPs
for configuration of additional resources.
