DPNSS Digital Private Network Signaling System. A set of standards and
protocols used in the United Kingdom to allow a single phone line to
support multiple transmissions at the same time. Signaling is
performed using a dedicated channel.

DSP Digital Signal Processor. A computer chip designed to operate on
digitized wave forms. Avaya digital systems use one or more DSPs.

DTMF Dual Tone Multi-Frequency. The audible signals generated by
pushing a button on a telephone keypad. The signal is actually made
up of two tones.
