SRM Service Resource Manager. A single-threaded process that resides in
the GEN sub-component of the common component and provides
access to OSCAR and its external resources. It will also manage line
allocation for a duel-line, hunt group and fixed line referrals. This
exists as a single instance on each node regardless of the number of
Avaya MPS components.

SRP Startup and Recovery Process. The software process that spawns
and monitors all other Avaya MPS processes.
SRP polls all other processes to ensure proper operation. SRP also
restarts processes that have terminated abnormally or exhibit faulty
operation.

start Refers to executing an application. The start process initiates an
application’s execution cycle on lines the application has been
assigned to. Use the APPMAN Assign/(Re) Start Lines tool to start
applications.
