Router Discovery Parameters

Parameter: Enable

Path: Configuration Manager > Protocols > IP > Router Discovery

Default: Enable

Options: Enable

Disable

Function: Disables and enables Router Discovery on this interface.

Instructions: If you configured this interface with Router Discovery, use this parameter to

disable Router Discovery.

MIB Object ID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.18.3.5.3.2.1.17.1.2

Parameter: Broadcast Type

Path: Configuration Manager > Protocols > IP > Router Discovery

Default: Multicast

Options: Multicast

Function: Specifies the type of broadcast to use in sending advertisements.

Instructions: Use Multicast wherever possible, that is, on any link where all listening hosts

support IP multicast.

Parameter: Minimum Interval

Path: Configuration Manager > Protocols > IP > Router Discovery

Default: 450

Options: 3 to the value of the Maximum Interval parameter

Function: Specifies the minimum time interval in seconds between advertisements.

Instructions: Specify a value that is no less than 3 seconds and less than the value you set

for the Maximum Interval parameter.
