Using the BCC
Navigate to the BGP prompt and enter:
black-hole-punching <
action>
action
is one of the values described in Table 5-3.
For example, the following command line causes BGP to submit aggregate routes
to the routing table as black hole routes. IP drops packets for unknown
destinations but does not return ICMP destination unreachable messages to the
sender:
/jointfilesconvert/106988/bgp# black-hole-punching drop
/jointfilesconvert/106988/bgp#

Value Meaning
disabled (default) Disables black hole punching
drop Enables black hole punching. IP drops packets for an unknown
destination without returning an ICMP message to the sender.
reject Enables black hole punching. IP drops packets for an unknown
destination and returns an ICMP destination unreachable
message to the sender.
