Using Site Manager
Disabling and Reenabling Loop Detection
By default, BGP terminates a peer-to-peer session if it discovers a loop in the AS
path.
You can use the BCC or Site Manager to disable and reenable loop detection.
Using the BCC
Navigate to a BGP peer prompt and enter:
detect-as-loop
<
state>
state
is one of the following:
enabled
(default)
disabled
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
BGP
. The BGP menu opens.
4. Choose
Peers
. The IP Interface List for BGP window
opens.
5. Click on the IP interface for which you
want to edit BGP peer parameters.
6. Click on
BGP Peers
. The BGP Peer List window opens.
7. Click on the peer for which you want to
edit parameters.
The parameters for that peer appear in
the window.
8. Set the
Peer Route Echo Switch
parameter. Click on
Help
or see the
parameter description on page A-16
.
9. Click on
Apply
, and then click on
Done
. Site Manager returns you to the IP
Interface List for BGP window.
