2. Select the appropriate router, and then click on Confirm.

The Configuration Manager opens and displays the logical image of the

router’s connectors (Figure 2-9)

If you are configuring an ARN, Passport 2430, or Passport 5430, complete the

steps in the applicable sections; otherwise, continue with step 3.

Specify the router’s hardware.

In local mode, the Configuration Manager requires that you specify the

hardware configuration whenever you create a new configuration file. You can

add hardware to empty slots and change the hardware in occupied slots. The

procedure for both is the same.
