The reply from the host is not routed to the application:

• Check that the ID field is specified correctly on VTCPD command line

• Enable VTCPD debugging using -Xa and -X2 options

• Run snoop to trace IP packets

• Verify that the ID fields in the request and in the reply do match and are located in

the proper place (-i or -I option)

• Verify that the message from the host is delimited according to -f option (see

snoop output) and does not have extra bytes at the end, (which are not the

beginning of the next message).

Note the field left 000 in the VTCPD output:

The field says that there were no extra bytes at the end of the message.

• Verify that the application did send a request for data (or that alternative options

for async delivery are specified in the VTCPD command line)

The host does not send correct data:

• Either you have to change VTCPD's command line options to accommodate the

host data format

• Or negotiate a data format change with the host developers

If nothing else helps:

• Install the newest version of VTCPD.

• Ask for R & D Assistance.

R & D provides assistance in complicated cases when the solution is not clear, or if

you think that the new functionality or bug fix is needed. However, we need VTCPD

trace and snoop output separated in 2 different files:

• vtcpd -Xa -X2 (or debugging enabled by amu). The file must include VTCPD

command line and output from following commands:

vrc

what `which vtcpd` |

grep vtcpd

snoop -x0 -ta ...
