When you ﬁnish transferring ﬁles from the router to your PC, go to Chapter 4.

Transferring Files via the Network

You can transfer (back up) Version 5 ﬁles from the router to your Site Manager PC

via your IP network using a TFTP-capable application program running on your

PC. When you use the TFTP-capable program, be sure to

• Use the IP address of your router as the host address for the TFTP operation.

• Copy all the ﬁles (including those within directories) from the router diskette

volume to the desired directory on your PC hard drive using binary-mode

GET ﬁle operations.

For example, transfer the ﬁles to the \wf\v580.bkp directory, where v580 is the

version of your router software.

For instructions on how to perform a TFTP binary-mode GET ﬁle operation from

your Site Manager PC, refer to the user documentation supplied by the

manufacturer of your TFTP-capable software.

Table 2-1 lists the Version 5 ﬁles you must transfer (back up) from the router’s

default ﬁle system volume to your PC.

When you ﬁnish backing up your Version 5 ﬁles, go to Chapter 4 to upgrade your

Version 5 ﬁles (conﬁg and router software image) for use with the Version 10.0

router software.
