Specifying a Version Threshold Time
By default, 540 seconds (9 minutes) can elapse after IGMP detects a Version 1
query before IGMP tries to become the designated querier.
You can use the BCC or Site Manager to specify a version threshold time from
1 through 65,535 seconds (18 hours, 12 minutes, and 15 seconds). The value that
you specify should be greater than the Version 1 query rate of all IGMP speakers
on all networks directly connected to the router.
Using the BCC
To specify a version threshold time, navigate to the global IGMP prompt (for
example,
stack; ip; igmp
) and enter:
version-threshold
<threshold>
threshold
is the number of seconds from 1 through 65,535.
For example, the following command sets the version threshold time to 500
seconds (8 minutes, 20 seconds):
igmp#
version-threshold 500
