Configuring an LDAP directory service for Netscape Messenger

1 Start Netscape Messenger.

2 On the Communicator menu, select Address Book.

The Address Book screen appears.

3 On the File menu, select New Directory.

The Directory Server Property screen appears.

4 In the Description box, type a descriptive name for the subscriber’s CallPilot directory

service.

5 In the LDAP server box, type the FQDN of the Business Communications Manager system.

6 In the Search Root box, type the search base.

Use the search base ou=suers,ou=callpilot

7 Click the OK button.

Testing the Netscape Messenger IMAP account

1 Use your telephone to log on to your CallPilot mailbox.

2 Compose a test voice message and send it to the subscriber.

3 Have the subscriber check that the message appears in Netscape Messenger.
