Configuring Multicast-Capable External Routes
By default, all external routes are multicast incapable. The Multicast Downstream
IGMP Relay parameter allows you to configure an external route as multicast
capable.
If an MOSPF router works as an AS boundary router to support IGMP Relay, you
must use Site Manager to set this attribute to Enabled.
Site Manager Procedure
You do this System responds
1. In the Configuration Manager window,
choose
Protocols
.
The Protocols menu opens.
2. Choose
IP
. The IP menu opens.
3. Choose
OSPF/MOSPF
. The OSPF menu opens.
4. Choose
Global
. The Edit OSPF Global Parameters
window opens.
5. Set the
Multicast Downstream IGMP
Relay
parameter.
Click on
Help
or see the
parameter description on page A-36.
6. Click on
OK
. You return to the Configuration Manager
window.
