Table 31 describes the parameters and variables for the download command.

The software download process automatically completes without user

intervention. The process erases the contents of flash memory and replaces it with

a new software image. Take care not to interrupt the download process until after

it runs to completion (the process can take up to 10 minutes, depending on

network conditions).

When the download process is complete, the switch automatically resets (unless

you specify no-reset) and the new software image initiates a self-test. The system

returns a message after successfully downloading a new image.

Figure 8 displays

a sample output of the download command.

During the download process, the unit is not operational. You can monitor the

progress of the download process by observing the LED indicators.
