configure network load-on-boot command
The configure network load-on-boot command is used to configure the
switch to automatically download a configuration file when you reboot the switch.
The syntax for the
configure network load-on-boot command is:
configure network load-on-boot {disable|use-bootp|
use-config} [address <A.B.C.D>] filename <WORD>
The configure network load-on-boot command is in the PrivExec mode, Global
configuration mode, and Interface configuration mode.
Table 7 describes the parameters and variables for the configure network
load-on-boot command.
Figure 4 displays sample output from the configure network
load-on-boot command.

Parameters and variables Description
{disable|use-bootp|use-config} Specifies the settings for automatically loading a
configuration file when the system boots:
• disable—disables the automatic loading of the
configuration file
• use-bootp—specifies using the BootP file as the
automatically loaded configuration file
• use-config—specifies using the ASCII
configuration file as the automatically loaded
configuration file
address <A.B.C.D> Specifies the TFTP server IP address; enter in
dotted-decimal notation.
filename <WORD> Enter the name of the ASCII configuration file you
want to copy from the TFTP server.
