Enabling Netboot or Directed Netboot

By default, the router obtains its software image from its local ﬁle system and its

conﬁguration ﬁle from a BOOTP server. Display and change these settings as

follows:

1. Select Protocols➔Global Protocols➔Net Boot➔Global from the

Conﬁguration Manager window.

The Edit Netboot Global Parameters window appears (F

igure 4-1).

To enable Netboot, set one or both of the ﬁrst two parameters to

“Enable.”

3. To enable Directed Netboot, set one or both of the ﬁrst two parameters to

“Enable” and conﬁgure the last three parameters.

For guidelines, see the descriptions of the parameters that follow this

procedure.

4. After editing the parameters, click on OK.
