Configuring DVMRP Announce Policies

A DVMRP announce policy governs the propogation of DMVRP routing

information. Use the following Site Manager procedure to create a DVMRP

announce policy.

Note:

DVMRP does not support accept policies. DVMRP supports only the

ignore action of announce policies.

Site Manager Procedure

You do this System responds

1. In the Configuration Manager window,

choose

Protocols

The Protocols menu opens.

2. Choose

. The IP menu opens.

3. Choose

Policies.

The IP Policies menu opens.

4. Choose

DVMRP

. The DVMRP Announce IP Policy Filters

window opens.

5. Set the the following parameters:

•Name

•Networks

•Action

• Precedence

• Advertise

• Filtered Circuits

• Filtered Tunnels

Click on

Help

or see parameter

descriptions starting on page A-43

6. Click on

Apply

, and then click on

Done

. You return to the Configuration Manager

window.
