Avaya Media Processing Server Series System Reference Manual
Page 94 # P0602477 Ver: 3.1.11
The vpshosts file is copied over from the MPSHOME/PERIglobl/etc
package and updated by means of the vhman command, issued from the command
line. The vhman command can also be used to add or delete components from an
existing vpshosts file. In general, there is no need to execute this command
because the system comes preconfigured from the factory.
The vhman functionality can be executed in a GUI environment by using the
xvhman tool.
PeriView needs to be configured with the information for all nodes that it is to control.
This command would be issued on a PeriView node for the purpose of reconfiguring
node names and component numbers. If the node configuration is changed, PeriView
must be restarted.
For specific information about the vpshosts file (including editing and updating)
and xvhman, refer to the PeriView Reference Manual.
