Setting the Default VC Receive PCR

The transmit peak cell rate (PCR) specifies the upper traffic limit, in cells/s, that

the MPLS ingress connection can accept. The default value, 0, indicates that the

PCR is attempting to run at line rate.

To change the receive PCR for the default VC, complete the following tasks:

Setting the Default VC Receive SCR

The receive sustainable cell rate (SCR) specifies the upper limit of the ATM

connection conforming average rate on the receiving side. The average rate equals

the total number of cells transmitted, divided by the duration of the connection.

The default value, 0, indicates that the transmit SCR is off.

Using the SCR, you can define the future cell flow of a VC in greater detail than

by using only the peak cell rate.
